About

Hello! I’m Baile Winslow and I am a senior Marketing Major at the University of Northern Colorado. I am also a member of our NCAA DI Women’s Golf team. I will be graduating in May 2017 with career interests in Digital Marketing.

Okay, here’s who I really am.

I am a Kansas City native with deep roots in the Midwest. I loved every minute of growing up in the suburb of Overland Park. I still go home often to get a healthy dose of humidity and puppy kisses from my 115 pound Saint Bernard, Rex. Despite my love for KC, Colorado has stolen my heart and I’m open to living in Colorado or Kansas post-graduation.

When I’m not working on advertising campaigns for class or playing golf you can find me practicing modern calligraphy, rolling out my yoga mat, or hiking in the mountains. I also enjoy a deep conversation and a glass of wine.

In the few spare hours left in the week, I am an educator and consultant for line of skincare called Beautycounter. Our mission as a B-Corp, is to get safer skincare into the hands of everyone. I love being a consultant and I am highly aware of my environmental footprint. You can find more information about Beautycounter here.

The rest of my story:

When I walked on campus my freshman year, I had no intention of pursuing a career in digital marketing. I wanted to be a real-estate agent, majoring in marketing was a good fit. My junior year I started realizing all the opportunities for marketing majors. In June of 2016, I was chosen to attend Marketing EDGE’s Digital Marketing Summit in New York City. This experience opened my eyes to the world of digital marketing and I knew it would be a career that would constantly challenge me to think differently, be inspiring, and never let go of my authenticity for life.

I love being a golfer. The game has given me the opportunity to go to UNC to learn about marketing. Without golf, I don’t know where I would be today or what I would be passionate about. My dad brought the sport to our family, after playing for Columbia University. I came a little late to the golfing party, starting when I was 14 (I thought, “gentlemen only ladies forbidden”..right?), nonetheless I picked up the game and earned myself a college scholarship. My older brother, Joseph, plays on PGA Tour Latino America. My younger brother, Michael, is in eighth grade and has the golfing bug as well. We make up a pretty killer four-some. My mom is the most devout spectator.

I write about my experiences as a student-athlete and how they relate to marketing. I hope you find my stories relatable, sincere and thought provoking. So, stay tuned. This should get interesting.
